THE HEALING POWER OF RESTORATIVE YOGA

The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word "yug", or Union. Yogic philosophy reminds us that the ultimate purpose of the practice of yoga is to assist an individual in achieving a state of union or wholeness, a connection of the physical and mental individual "self" (jiva) with the Absolute or pure consciosuness (Brahman), God or Universe.

Restorative Yoga is a profoundly healing system of Yoga designed to relax, restore & renew physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Debora's classes consist of passive poses performed mainly on the floor and are NOT athletic in nature. Using props to assist the body during these long-held poses allows the muscles and organs to completely relax and release, letting go of chronic tension and "holding" patterns.

Debora creates a peaceful sanctuary where one can truly heal. During her inspiring Restorative Yoga classes she assists students in entering a heightened state of awareness, achieving a quiet, meditative state of mind, greater ease and comfort in the body, and oftentimes healing.

Debora Wayne has been involved both personally and professionally in the world of Yoga, Dance, Meditation, & the Healing Arts for well over 25 years. She is a Certified Yoga Alliance Instructor dedicated to assisting students of all levels in experiencing how the practice of yoga can benefit health & inspire daily life.
